Nilgün Kasapbaşoğlu is a Turkish theater, film actress and voice actress born on January 27, 1955 in Istanbul.

Childhood Years and Beginning of Art Life

At the age of six, Kasapbaşoğlu stepped into cinema with the films “Kara Dut” and “Bülbül Yuvası” and in 1962, he joined the Istanbul City Theaters as a child actor with the play “Macbeth” directed by Muhsin Ertuğrul.

Theater Career

In his theater career spanning more than half a century, he has starred in many important plays such as “The Taming of the Shrew”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “The Threepenny Opera”, “The Cunning Wife of a Stupid Husband” and “Hürmüz with Seven Husbands”.

Cinema and Series Studies

The artist, who is also active in cinema, is the director of “Dersimiz: Atatürk” (2009), “Kocan Kadar Konuş: Resurrection” (2015), “Ayla” (2017) and “Kafalar Karışık” (2018).

Voice Over Studies

Also known as a voice actor, Kasapbaşoğlu gave life to child characters in films such as Yumurcak (İlker İnanoğlu), Gülşah and Sezercik (Sezer İnanoğlu).

Personal Life

She was married to producer Namık Kasapbaşoğlu for two years and has one child.
